MSV's enormously popular Mini Festival franchise heads to Snetterton for the first time this month, with a busting two-day extravaganza of pocket-sized fun on 13-14 May. This event will be all about Britain's best-loved compact car, with Mini racing, Mini displays, Mini parades, Mini competitions, and much more - the only thing that won't be mini will be the size of the programme!
Racing will be headlined by the MINI Challenge, the UK's biggest and best tin top series outside the British Touring Car Championship. You can expect plenty of frenetic action from these cars as they bump and barge their way around the high-speed Snetterton 200 circuit, a super-fast layout which promotes highly entertaining racing.
The remainder of the racing line-up will comprise a variety of races for classic Minis based on the original pre-'66 Issigonis design, including the Mini Se7ens and Mini Miglias, whilst the Fastest Mini in the World race will pit special one-off cars with unique design features up against one another. Again, the 200 circuit's configuration will promote fantastic racing amongst the older cars as they slipstream down the straights towards a braking zone showdown.
There will be a mixture of other support races too, sprinkling a helping of extra variety into the mix.
Away from the racing there will be much to see and do too, including large displays from Mini clubs and individual car owners. Whether you're a Mini nut yourself, or just a casual observer, this will be a great opportunity to chat to members of the famously passionate and knowledgeable Mini community and see some great cars close up. Some of the finest models on display will even go head-to-head in a Show and Shine competition, run in conjunction with love:mini magazine.
There are unique reasons to come on each day of this event too, with a Mini track parade and free of charge grid walk taking place on Sunday, whilst one of Saturday's greatest highlights will be a on outdoor cinema screening of the original Italian Job!
There will be a bustling trade village on both days, offering an exciting cocktail of Mini-themed memorabilia, car parts, and much more, whilst there will be a funfair area to engage the young, and the young at heart, on both days too!
